|We are Android Augmentors Anonymous - addicted to changing our Android screens and proud of it! Our members all share common interests in photography, graphic design, and other resources needed to make our Android phones truly unique. Come hang out, share your screens, learn and share your knowledge with us. |
Please put all past deviations you'd like in the appropriate gallery folders on our gallery page. There are more details on the gallery page. For future deviations, you will be able to automatically submit your new setup by ticking our group folder - remember to pick the right category. See vote on Journal tab for voting on Featured folder: to remove or not to remove?
To invite new folks - the more the merrier! - who contribute to Android customization, please send them an invite as a 'Member.' The roles of 'Contributor,' 'Moderator,' 'Co-Founder' and all other admin titles, have been capped at 90 people by Deviant Art. After weeks of back and forth with DA support, this seems to be the last word from them on the subject of membership roles and forum use:
"As mentioned previously this is a limitation of the system not one put in place to cause any friction for our users. We cannot simply raise the amount of admins without causing other errors with that system. I'm afraid we will not be able to achieve this at this time. That said, ee are always looking at ways to improve the deviantART experience however at this time I cannot say for certain when or if this feature will or will not happen in the future."
Boo! Here's where it stands now:
1. All membership roles should now be able to contribute to the group gallery. PLEASE be careful about contributing/moving things about the gallery - all our AAA folk have the power to share in the gallery, and admin roles can conceivably delete folders/deviations accidentally.
2. The 'Administrator' privileges granted to the first members to join - Contributors, Co-Founders, and Moderators - have been capped at 90 people by DA. There are now Contributors, Co-Founders, and Moderators, - they have Admin access/title; and Members - who don't. It should be noted that there is no distinction in the roles besides the limits DA has inflicted on us, and the order in which people joined our group. We are all members of the same group, and hierarchy was not planned or wanted. Please note that the name 'Members' cannot be changed to something more worthy of those who contribute to our group. While Members can contribute to our group gallery, they cannot view the Club House/Forum section of our site. I am truly sorry for this, and sincerely hope that DA gets their act together and makes group activity more flexible for the AAA we planned on.
Please feel free to write to DA Help Desk so that more voices can be heard on the subject. If the founders had their druthers, everyone of you talented people would be labelled as 'Admin,' 'Contributor,' or 'Co-Founder.'
Welcome to AAA!
